NYPL.org Redesign
The New York Public Library has given a sneak peak to the public for their new site set to launch January 6th. What do you think? Left: The home page before the redesign, Right: The home page after the redesign. Left: An interior page before the redesign, Right: An interior page after the redesign. While it is obvious the site needed some updating, I’m not so sure that the design for the home page was the absolute best solution for such... Read More

LHF Header
If you’re not impressed by ornate and beautiful drawings or art, then stop reading. This post is about the Letterhead Fonts header and there’s a nice write-up on Reuben Miller’s blog about it’s creation. Chuck Davis, the man behind the design not only provides Reuben with sketches of the header but also some insight into it’s fruition. Via TypeTheory Read More

Me and Mister Jones
I just fell upon this designing duo under the name of Me and Mister Jones, but really the folks behind the work are Fanny Khoo and Tom Merckx. Focusing on design and art direction (among many other things) their work is solid and professional. Use of type and color is kept at the highest of standards and I can’t help but to Ooh and Aah at their portfolio. Thanks to Graphic-Exchange Read More
Rynke Sangers
Rynke is a graphic designer/illustrator/artist based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Her work on Studio Helmich was just too nice to not write about. I love her handwritten projects and the printing method close-ups of them in her portfolio. Nice stuff! Her site is filled with her work and don’t miss her sleek design work listed under books which derails from the majority of her work. Well done! Read More
New Moleskine Site
Moleskine has revealed a (beta) new website! The most intriguing feature is the new MSK format where you can layout a page and print it to fit your moleskine notebook (see image below). Pretty nice feature although I’m not sure if I’ll use it, I’ll have to at least give it a try. Read More
Under Consideration
It seems the dynamic duo of Armin Vit and Byrony Gomez-Palacio, also known as Under Consideration, have been hard at work on some emerging projects. They just launched the new Word It site which branches from the even more well known Speak Up and have posted some new photos from their upcoming book, Graphic Design, Referenced. At the moment I’m indulging in the pages of Women of Design, also by the Under Consideration team. “an ever-growing... Read More
