Unused postage stamps anyone? Yes, please! Great designs, some are from the US and some are international.

I especially love these Special Delivery stamps!

And I’m not sure why I bought these yet, but for 50 cents I had to have them. An entire envelope filled with canceled german stamps featuring Hitler. I might use it in some artwork, who knows?!

And one item I could not afford to purchase, but thought was eye-catching:

I decided to take a very imprompu trip to an antiques store today, and came across these maps for a second time. This time I had to get them. The smaller maps have a lovely black/aqua/orange color palette and the large one was printed in 1936 and is in fabulous condition. Most of them are of Canada but I also bought one of New York with a great illustrated map (upper right on the last photo), but I have no clue when it was printed. I’m not sure what I will exactly do with them yet, but I have a few inklings.

I have a real affinity for the nautical, and have been thinking of what to do with a (very) blank wall in my home office. I’m thinking of covering it in nautical paper goods and vintage nautical items. Sounds like a good idea. I don’t know about you but I’ve noticed the integration of industrial-style items into home decor. Is it just me? I’ve picked some industrial-type things for my new home office and that’s particularly true when it comes to office supplies. Something about mechanical/industrial items makes me feel more at home. I bought three metal automatic stamps, a stamp carousel (for just $2.50!) and a crazy-weird stapler (for just 25 cents !) that has gold wire staples. My mom gave me some old sewing drawers that I’ve made into catch-all on my desk and when creating my home office had a problem septic pipe in the middle of the floor. So instead of covering it up with carpet, my husband took it to work and cleaned it up on the wire-wheel. It’s such a beautiful brass color and I love it!!!
