<p>My inspiration for today is the amazing Louise Fili. She is the owner of <a title="Louise Fili" href="http://louisefili.com" target="_blank" onclick="pageTracker._trackPageview('/outgoing/louisefili.com?referer=');">Lousie Fili Ltd.</a>, a design studio that specializes in logos, packaging, restaurant, type, book and book jacket design.</p>
<p>Lousie was a senior designer for <a title="Herb Lubalin" href="http://www.typogabor.com/herb-lubalin/" target="_blank" onclick="pageTracker._trackPageview('/outgoing/www.typogabor.com/herb-lubalin/?referer=');">Herb Lubalin</a> for two years during the late 70&#8242;s, an art director of Pantheon Books from 1978 to 1989 and has received much recognition for the designs created. And was recently inducted into the Art Directors Hall of Fame, and rightly so.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.fayeandco.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/01/picture-13.png"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-2424" title="picture-13" src="http://blog.fayeandco.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/01/picture-13-300x193.png" alt="picture-13" width="300" height="193" /></a></p>
<p>The work from Louise Fili Ltd is nothing short of spectacular. One you may have seen recently circulating the design blogs is the Good Housekeeping Seal redesign, shown above.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.fayeandco.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/01/fili-4.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-2429" title="fili-4" src="http://blog.fayeandco.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/01/fili-4-150x84.jpg" alt="fili-4" width="150" height="84" /></a> <a href="http://blog.fayeandco.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/01/fili-6.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-2431" title="fili-6" src="http://blog.fayeandco.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/01/fili-6-150x120.jpg" alt="fili-6" width="150" height="120" /></a> <a href="http://blog.fayeandco.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/01/fili-3.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-2428" title="fili-3" src="http://blog.fayeandco.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/01/fili-3-150x89.jpg" alt="fili-3" width="150" height="89" /></a></p>
<p>The website for Louise&#8217;s design studio is a showcase of excellent skills in typography, and a great eye for design.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.fayeandco.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/01/fili-8.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-2433" title="fili-8" src="http://blog.fayeandco.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/01/fili-8-150x134.jpg" alt="fili-8" width="150" height="134" /></a><a href="http://blog.fayeandco.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/01/fili-7.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-2432" title="fili-7" src="http://blog.fayeandco.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/01/fili-7-150x78.jpg" alt="fili-7" width="150" height="78" /></a> <a href="http://blog.fayeandco.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/01/fili-5.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-2430" title="fili-5" src="http://blog.fayeandco.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/01/fili-5-150x141.jpg" alt="fili-5" width="150" height="141" /></a></p>
<p>Her examples of logo work are true specimens of what graphic design should be and if you&#8217;re looking for inspiration and looking for a little boost, visit the <a title="Louise Fili" href="http://louisefili.com" target="_blank" onclick="pageTracker._trackPageview('/outgoing/louisefili.com?referer=');">Lousie Fili Ltd.</a> website where you can view many examples of the work. I am inspired by outstanding work, and this is anthing but, and being able to work with <a title="Herb Lubalin" href="http://www.typogabor.com/herb-lubalin/" target="_blank" onclick="pageTracker._trackPageview('/outgoing/www.typogabor.com/herb-lubalin/?referer=');">Herb Lubalin</a> must have been a great foundation for the work that she has produced. I wonder if Debbie Millman will ever interview her for Design Matters? One can only hope.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.fayeandco.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/01/fili-9.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-large wp-image-2436" title="fili-9" src="http://blog.fayeandco.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/01/fili-9-499x207.jpg" alt="fili-9" width="499" height="207" /></a></p>
