EightHourDay

I just stumbled on EightHourDay, a husband/wife design boutique specializing in Design, Interactive, and Illustration. I totally dig their sites for The Minnesota Orchestra and the Minnesota Opera. I was slightly disappointed that both of them were built in Flash but that still doesn’t take away from their beauty. They could have built them in XHTML/CSS and still been just as beautiful and web-friendly. And I’m pretty sure they know that... Read More

Tag Browser

I just found the Flickr Related Tag Browser, a project by Airtight Interactive where you can search tags put in by users on Flickr and receive visual results. It’s created in Flash, is interactive and when searching for the tags graphic and design I received 97,364 images. On the sides you have tags that can be added and when you move your mouse off of the browser it zooms out to reveal the tags in a circle formation. Have some fun and go browse... Read More

But somehow Adobe would rather release new versions of their software then to fix the software that they’ve already sold to millions. Why fix it when we could make millions more by... Read More

Branding a Wedding

I don’t know the story behind this but I saw a link to it from the QBN website on a forum where someone asked where they could see better examples of wedding websites. Instead of your usual wedding invitation, they chose to show their marriage details in the form of a style guideline used in branding. What a great idea! It’s cute, it’s funny, but it has a limited audience. Someone like me would find this fantastic, but would mom... Read More
