I made myself drive to the Letters & Ligatures show in Philadelphia, and not because I didn’t want to go but because I hate going out at all really. But this show was worth facing the public and weaving through a crowd to see the perfectly cut letterforms and bright colors exhibited by House Industries at the 222 Gallery.

Saw some useful and not-so-useful objects while perusing the internet today. First is the very useful Beech hooks that I saw on Remodelista from Manufactum.

On Off Switch

And the totally useless (but fun) On/Off Switch from Kiosk. This could be so much fun to put in your home and see how people react. What is that switch for? ( …insert crazy story here )

Just as I finished this post I found these. I’m not sure what I would use the stencils for yet, but I like them! Number Stencils also on Kiosk for just $16, got to get them!

This leaf shaped home outside of Rio de Janeiro is a fantasy created by Mareines + Patalano. The open air home is intended to create interaction and connection with man and nature. It’s located on a small beach with beautiful blue water, view the breathtaking photos below.

Private Islands

A nice link to private residences on islands. The article is titled and rightly so 5 Insanely Small Inhabited Private Islands. One of them is in Canada near where I’ll be vacationing next week, hopefully I’ll bring back a photo of it to share! Yippee!
