Hera Big

Behance is good for so many reasons, but I love when I discover something like Hera Big, a new display font created by Lucas Sharp. While I’m a little fuzzy on the details, according to his website all you need to do is contact him regarding licensing a font. I particularly love the hairline and Bold weights.  Read More

Ticketbook

I am obsessed with how numbers look in all sorts of typefaces. New Type: Phaeton

Maybe it’s just me, but I’m loving all of the new typefaces being brought to my attention. And a recent release over at Veer is very exciting. Phaeton, designed by Kevin Cornell with Randy Jones – “Phaeton, like Olduvai, evokes the freshness and uniqueness of hand-drawn type, yet allows for easy typesetting. A high-waisted, condensed serif face with a distinct Victorian flavor. Featuring cupped serifs and ball terminals on some... Read More

New Scripts

I’ve seen one of these new scripts, Liza from Underware; but have just heard of the new typeface from Crystal Kluge under the name Tart Workshop called Nelly Script (shown above). Both fonts have handwritten qualities and both are worthy of a download but at two completely different prices. Underware has Liza priced at around $200 USD and Nelly Script Pro (available on MyFonts) is $60 USD both in their complete sets. They are also both Open... Read More
