Farmers

Widgets & Stone created a cohesive look for a small Farmers market in Tennessee. The Farmers were being confused with many other local markets so they omitted the word market and went with who they really are, Farmers. Widgets & Stone put together a nice review on their process and if you’re hungry for more images, visit their Flickr page. I especially love this line at the end of their review: “No local farmers, no local food. Know local farmers, know local food.”

I get really excited over designers or design studios who create simple yet stunning identities for companies large and small. I think it’s difficult to convince a client to stay simple (simple in it’s appearance not in the arrival to the solution); for a small business when they want to appear as a larger corporation, and a large corporation doesn’t want to seem small. But the work of HeyDays has a delicate balance and creates brands that can be either and I think that’s something special. I posted about their work once before here.

Mister Freedom

Why have I never heard of Mister Freedom before? And I am only now aware of it because of a bandana that I spotted on J.Crew. The branding alone of this company makes me immediately fall in love but the products? From vintage items to clothing, seriously who could resist? I am seriously wowed. You need to go gawk at this stuff like I am.
