Eastern Columbia

designinfo_ec

I have fallen in love with this custom typeface for Eastern Columbia historical building. The custom typeface was created by Andrea Tinnes of typecuts.

Caleb Owen Everitt

stag.2

While I’ve posted his work before, I can’t refrain from sharing Caleb Owen Everitt’s work for STAG Provisions for Men and The Gentleman’s Race. Beautiful, handmade look, and fantastic lettering.

Hera Big

Behance is good for so many reasons, but I love when I discover something like Hera Big, a new display font created by Lucas Sharp. While I’m a little fuzzy on the details, according to his website all you need to do is contact him regarding licensing a font. I particularly love the hairline and Bold weights.

The Undercover Collection

A monthly poster series where one canvas is by an anonymous painter, and the other canvas (of type) is created by Job Wouters.  I found The Undercover Collection on the Letman site (which I’ve posted before), there has been a massive amount of updates with amazing work. Go now – I urge you.

I’m starting to think that Courtney and I are long lost souls (of design). Her posts at Design Work Life and Head vs. Heart hit me hard every time. Today, she posted about Ryan Feerer’s work for weddings and I was just blown away. Beautiful, hand drawn, great layouts.

Beautiful type by Paul Henri-Masson.

Farmers

Widgets & Stone created a cohesive look for a small Farmers market in Tennessee. The Farmers were being confused with many other local markets so they omitted the word market and went with who they really are, Farmers. Widgets & Stone put together a nice review on their process and if you’re hungry for more images, visit their Flickr page. I especially love this line at the end of their review: “No local farmers, no local food. Know local farmers, know local food.”

Sketchbook & Work

What’s been going in my sketchbook? Sadly, I must say not much. I take a break every so often and this just happens to be one of those times. But I have a few things to share. I’ve been trying my hand at screen printing. Well, I got the screen thing down, but not the printing part yet. I’ve been testing out different graphics and this is the first one that worked. Although it’s so muddy looking. Anyone wanna offer me some advice? Getting organized. This pin board helps me keep track of all the lovely people who are trusting me with their stationery needs. I drew this for a baby shower client, but didn’t…
