Vintage Maps
I decided to take a very imprompu trip to an antiques store today, and came across these maps for a second time. This time I had to get them. The smaller maps have a lovely black/aqua/orange color palette and the large one was printed in 1936 and is in fabulous condition. Most of them are of Canada but I also bought one of New York with a great illustrated map (upper right on the last photo), but I have no clue when it was printed. I’m not sure what I will exactly do with them yet, but I have a few inklings.

Yikes Stripes!
No, I’m not reenacting the Zebra from Fruit Stripe gum. I’m talking about these super cute Signature Stripe bags from Twelve NYC. And don’t miss the Anchor collection either!
Card Catalogs
I love, LOVE card catalogs (as you may know). Something about all those little drawers tempting me to open each and every one of them … even though I know they all contain just cards. But what if they could contain more then that? Well, a kind fellow contacted me because he has quite a few of these lovelies in his possession from the Yale Art and Architecture Library and they are for sale! Let me know if you’re interested and I’ll pass the information on to you. They all cost over $1000 (most are under $1500), and the second from the bottom is $775. I hope they go to good homes!

Vienna Notebook
I’m starting to fall in love with the Vienna Lomo Notebook by Lomography. Could it give my Moleskine a run for it’s money? Not sure yet but it looks pretty damn cool. It costs $16.50 (USD) and you can purchase a bundle that includes the Vienna Notebook and the Vienna City Guide for just $33.
Imogene + Willie
I am again, loving another couple. The sweet-seeming Carrie and Matt of Imogene + Willie located in Nashville, Tennessee. They began by producing premium denim for some of the world’s leading brands and now own a retro-fitted gas station where there is a hearty mix of product design, product execution, and product distribution. On the home page of their site is a video which urgently describes their vibe, their brand, and them. I can’t get enough of them!
Emerson Made
I am quite surprised that I have not posted about Emersonmade but I am at this very moment! I’m a huge fan of Emersonmade’s stylish fabric flower accessories, and each photos is stylishly presented so that the flower is the shining star. And in fact, she is now my style idol. Her and her photo friend ( is it her husband, friend?), I want them to be my friends. These look the kind of people that I could hang out with. From the Emersonmade blog: *emersonmade hand-cuts-stitches-builds all the blooms so each is varied and has its own little soul- perfectly imperfect. yes this is right! its the joy of life to do it this…
Temple
I just saw a link to these goods on the Temple online store, and couldn’t resist them. I especially like the skeleton key necklace! via NotCot
Red Cross Gifts
For some odd reason I’ve been obsessed with vintage Red Cross items. So I decided to take a peak at the current website of the American Red Cross and found some items worth purchasing for the holidays. All items are available at the Red Cross online store. You could also donate directly to them which is nice in anyone’s honor.
