Brooklyn Slate Company
I found this lovely while looking at a WordPress gallery. The Brooklyn Slate Company is the work of two Brooklynites who are obssessed with food which then turned into their slate product company. They produce and package their slate products by hand in their studio, located in (you guessed it) Brooklyn. Isn’t it amazing how simple and attractive packaging can be? “Envelopes and other materials are printed by hand, and burlap bags are hand sewn too. Every single piece of packaging that comes with our products can be repurposed for other uses.”
Cut Brooklyn
I’m a fanatic of kitchen wares. Cutlery, pots, pans, potholders, towels – you name it. Thanks to someone on NotCot, I am a fan of Cut Brooklyn. Joel Bukiewicz designs and crafts professional-grade kitchen cutlery. He handcrafts each pieves with the finest materials, and pays attention to details. He offers all of the knives he builds an in-shop service free of charge. He makes them all to order and is wait-list at this point is 12 months. He has a variety of colors available too. So who wants a custom-crafted knife? I do! I do!
Vienna Notebook
I’m starting to fall in love with the Vienna Lomo Notebook by Lomography. Could it give my Moleskine a run for it’s money? Not sure yet but it looks pretty damn cool. It costs $16.50 (USD) and you can purchase a bundle that includes the Vienna Notebook and the Vienna City Guide for just $33.
Emerson Made
I am quite surprised that I have not posted about Emersonmade but I am at this very moment! I’m a huge fan of Emersonmade’s stylish fabric flower accessories, and each photos is stylishly presented so that the flower is the shining star. And in fact, she is now my style idol. Her and her photo friend ( is it her husband, friend?), I want them to be my friends. These look the kind of people that I could hang out with. From the Emersonmade blog: *emersonmade hand-cuts-stitches-builds all the blooms so each is varied and has its own little soul- perfectly imperfect. yes this is right! its the joy of life to do it this…
Red Cross Gifts
For some odd reason I’ve been obsessed with vintage Red Cross items. So I decided to take a peak at the current website of the American Red Cross and found some items worth purchasing for the holidays. All items are available at the Red Cross online store. You could also donate directly to them which is nice in anyone’s honor.
B-Sided Artificial Sneakers
I adore these String Republic artificial sneakers, around $40. Available in many colors and style, but so cute! I’d rock ‘em! (A great alternative to ballet flats!) And don’t miss the Artist editions too, these would be awesome for the man in your life. via Hey Susy

Many people love to receive cash-money for the holidays, so how do you present it in a tasteful way? Here’s a few that I’ve found. Moneyholders from Cake + Milk Paperie, $15.50 for a box of 6 Money Holder from NicePackage on Etsy, $3 for a set of 10 Embossed Money Holders from humblechan on Etsy, $2.75 for a set of 2
Wizard of Oz Notebook
Wow. This Wizard of Oz notebook immediately caught my eye on the NothingElegant shop over on Etsy. The book is a vintage-style sketchbook with blank pages and is available in four colors.
Peepshop
These laser-cut acrylic decorations would make great ornaments to adorn the tree, or as gifts. Many fun things over at Peepshop where I found these.
House Industries Gifts
I am lucky to be a subscriber of the House Industries email because they just sent out their ideas for holiday gifts. I’d be happy to get any of their prints but here are some additional gift ideas from the boys down in Delaware.
