Stephanie Corfee

I officially own one of these prints, but I could not resist posting about Stephanie Corfee’s watercolors. I love the type-based versions, right now there are only two that I know of but I really hope she does more! This one above is on my wish list, but there aren’t any available right now on her Etsy store. But I would keep your eyes out and bookmarks set. And the freeform watercolor (top image) is outstandingly beautiful, as well as the image of the girl. The one of the girl caught my eye at Hello Bluebird as well but the type won me over in an instant. 0

Philagrafika: Cannonball Press

I am really excited for this event. Philagrafika 2010 is an event happening in Philadelphia starting in January which will celebrate print in contemporary art. I’m a HUGE print fan and still believe that it won’t die. The festival contends that the printed image lies at the heart of contemporary art. The event will include 300 artists at over 80 venues throughout the city and is being coined as the world’s most important print-related exposition. I’m so glad I only live an hour north of Philly, I want to see it all! So in honor of the event, I’m going to feature the work of the artists involved in the festival in their own special…
