And not only do they show the finished pieces, they also show the “making of” in several of their projects. I really admire there use of not your everyday materials and willingness to play and experiment.

I just received my Paper Source catalog in the mail and this Mums Wreath Kit caught my eye, but for another purpose. These flowers would be great to use in a wedding for groomsmen, combine them to make a bride’s bouquet, or other decorations. I know you folks are crafty and could make it happen. Aren’t they great?! In an effort to bring the paper company closer to the design community, Fedrigoni UK opened doors to it’s London showroom in 2008. The posters were designed by Richard Nabarro to entice designer by emphasizing the creative possibilities of paper. In fact, this just gave me an idea. Fun!

My day went from okay to phenomenal thanks to a lovely arrival in the mail. Not one, but TWO surprises. The first is #6 of Uppercase Magazine arrived, I can’t wait to dive in. I decided to take a very imprompu trip to an antiques store today, and came across these maps for a second time. This time I had to get them. The smaller maps have a lovely black/aqua/orange color palette and the large one was printed in 1936 and is in fabulous condition. Most of them are of Canada but I also bought one of New York with a great illustrated map (upper right on the last photo), but I have no clue when it was printed. I’m not sure what I will exactly do with them yet, but I have a few inklings.
