Knot Practical

Swayspace created this gorgeous and fun letterpress booklet/poster of knots. The New Camper’s Journal is a limited edition and only available at the Alite pop-up store at Eastern Mountain Sports in New York. I knew I should have escaped to New York when I had the chance, I’m missing out on all the cool swag. (Pouts in child-like fashion and stomps away) If you live in New York and send me one, I will be eternally grateful. 0

Keegan Meegan

I am truly intrigued by the prints and recent book by Keegan Wenkman. Keegan lives and works out of Portland, Cascadia and was recently featured on FPO. Keegan’s book Codex Viginti Sex focuses on the number 26. “The first book Codex Viginti Sex is based on the repetition and context of the number 26 in my life.” I know how you feel, the number 22 or 222 is always throwing itself into my life. 0

1 Canoe 2

Another store on Etsy that I just came to love. 1 Canoe 2 is a letterpress shop in Missouri and has some truly adorable prints available, and I especially love the state prints. But no Pennsylvania is available … 0

cleanwash

I love the darling work from cleanwash. The website isn’t up and running yet but you can view a few samples of work on the blog or visit the cleanwash etsy shop! 0

Katie Kirk

I just saw this new piece added to Katie Kirk’s shop. She collaborated with Studio on Fire for this print which is in celebration of EightHourDay’s 5 year anniversary. EightHourDay is the design studio belonging to Katie Kirk and husband, Nathan Strandberg. Purchase the print pictured above in their Etsy store. 0

Wild Ink Press

Wow! I love the studio (and the work) of Wild Ink Press. It’s way too organized for my taste (I can be messy at times) but it is gorgeously so! 0

The Rookery

Who ever is behind The Rookery … YOU ARE AWESOME! (And yes, I can use all caps there.) The Rookery is a binding and letterpress studio in Salt Lake City, Utah. From stitching and screenprinting, to bookmaking and letterpress – I want to live in their Flickr page! The above listing is what attracted me to The Rookery on Etsy, thanks to the listing popping up on the front page of the site. But after some digging, I found their website and lovely Flickr photostream filled with goodies. See the awesomeness below. 0

Swink

After a few errands and appointments today, I got home to receive a fun little package from Swink. I found their little letterpress camper set a while back and now I am happy to announce that I own one myself! I participated in a swap they held some time ago and in return received these items. Thanks for the Better Stories set and the t-shirt Swink! I know I wrote a post about their Better Stories piece, but can’t find in on my blog anywhere. Here’s more about the project Better Stories on their site. Sorry Swink! 0

Love Letterpress

I found this lovely image on the Lovely | Duality Flickr Photostream of Snap & Tumble Letterpress. Doesn’t it make you want to get ready for Valentine’s Day already? I know, I know, it’s not even Christmas yet. I can’t help myself. The print was created by Christopher, created at a Snap & Tumble letterpress workshop. Thanks for letting me know Chris! 0

Letterpress Made Simple or Diminished?

The craft of letterpress has a long history and has gained popularity as it’s equipment has been hard to find and creates a quality like no other for printing projects. Recently a company called Lifestyle Crafts has released the L Letterpress Combo Kit that allows anyone to have a letterpress-effect on stationery. I saw it with my own eyes in AC Moore yesterday which led to this post, the effect looks nice but what about the letterpress industry? While this machine is limited in it’s size, I wonder what effect it will have on the letterpress industry. If you were to purchase a set of letterpress cards from a vendor and found out they used…
