The Cocktail Gallery
After New Year’s you may not want to hear about any sort of cocktails or alcoholic drinks, but how much fun are The Cocktail Gallery posters?
Industrial Is In
I don’t know about you but I’ve noticed the integration of industrial-style items into home decor. Is it just me? I’ve picked some industrial-type things for my new home office and that’s particularly true when it comes to office supplies. Something about mechanical/industrial items makes me feel more at home. I bought three metal automatic stamps, a stamp carousel (for just $2.50!) and a crazy-weird stapler (for just 25 cents !) that has gold wire staples. My mom gave me some old sewing drawers that I’ve made into catch-all on my desk and when creating my home office had a problem septic pipe in the middle of the floor. So instead of covering it up…
High Street Market
High Street Market is my favorite new Etsy store from Kelly Galvin Robson. She’s from Philadelphia. And she has a blog. Her taste is way cool. ’nuff said. P.S. Kelly, if you ever want to see some antique shops here in Reading … let me know. I’ll show you around!
Damn Rabbit Studios
Thanks to a post on Design*Sponge this morning and some info from my sister, I discovered the work of Sarah Szwajkos also Damn Rabbit Studios. Her images focus on personal spaces, particularly of artists and creative types and each image is a source of inspiration.
Klein Tool Bags
I have been secretly loving the Klein Tool bags and am thinking of putting many of them in my new home office. I especially like the new colorful Large Canvas Stand-Up Zipper Bags, these would be great for kids rooms too! And I really, really want one of these (shown below) Deluxe Leather Bags.
The Silver Lining
Thanks to a wonderful new blog Scoutie Girl, I found the work of ChezSucreChez on Etsy. I love the embroidered clouds with the silver lining and am thinking of putting one in my new home office.
Geometric Pillows
Geometry used to put me to sleep, but this puts a whole new spin on things. The pillows by PlyTextiles on Etsy have fun geometric patterns that are modern and stylish for your home. Oh yeah, and their repurposed materials. “At PlyTextiles Lindy loves to put a modern eco spin on traditional processes for creating warmth in the home.”

I’m in love with the workspace of Sharily Wright of Lovely Design. My husband is currently involved with a labor of love by making me an in-home studio and I can’t tell you how anxious I am!!! View the post in it’s entirety over at Apartment Therapy, lots more photos too!
Creative Spaces
This book just caught my eye over at Laurence King Publishing, Ltd. and is officially on my wish list. Am I the only nerd who bookmarks publishers and browses them for good books? Creative Space: Urban Homes of Artists and Innovators is a book about the creative folks who are generally DIY who’s interiors strongly reflect pop culture. Written by Francesca Gavin, Visual Arts Editor at ‘Dazed & Confused’ magazine.
