Piano
Confession: I wish I could play piano and I love music that is all or contains piano. It makes my heart flutter! I tried to teach myself how to play when I was around 10 or 11, but I only played by ear…no sheet music. I don’t understand a single thing on sheet music. But I loved playing and still love listening. Here are a few favorites of mine for you to listen: Fiona Apple, Sullen Girl [Audio clip: view full post to listen] Nico Muhly, Quiet Music [Audio clip: view full post to listen] Bella’s Lullaby from the Twilight Soundtrack [Audio clip: view full post to listen]
Saw Chip Kidd and all I got was…
I went to see Chip Kidd speak last night and all I got was… an entertaining experience! His presentation was funny, amusing, and inspirational. Synopsis from the Art & Copy site: ART & COPY is a powerful new film about advertising and inspiration. Directed by Doug Pray (SURFWISE, SCRATCH, HYPE!), it reveals the work and wisdom of some of the most influential advertising creatives of our time — people who’ve profoundly impacted our culture, yet are virtually unknown outside their industry. Exploding forth from advertising’s “creative revolution” of the 1960s, these artists and writers all brought a surprisingly rebellious spirit to their work in a business more often associated with mediocrity or manipulation: George…

It seems that blondes are taking a backseat to these dark lovelies on the celebritey scene. Especially those with dark hair and blue eyes, aren’t they gorgeous? I think it’s time to try a new hair color … Zooey Deschanel has to be my girl crush – she’s pretty, has a little bit of quirk to her and she also has an amazing singing voice. It grabbed me right away when she starred in Elf and sang ‘Baby it’s Cold Outside’ Now she sings under the name of She&Him … so cute. Katy Perry (above) Megan Fox (above)
