I just received my Paper Source catalog in the mail and this Mums Wreath Kit caught my eye, but for another purpose. These flowers would be great to use in a wedding for groomsmen, combine them to make a bride’s bouquet, or other decorations. I know you folks are crafty and could make it happen. Aren’t they great?! This weekend was amazing! Time was well spent with friends, family, and most importantly with my husband and son. While most of you were eating barbecue, downing lots of drinks (alcoholic or not) just to stay cool in the high-90 degree temps, I was thinking of these amazing flags on a time to get. I’ve lived in this home for three years and realized, I have NO flag to hang outside. So I was thinking of making my very own, and I wondered how people (especially dedicated patriots) would feel if I used a slightly different star pattern. They are so pretty! Would you find it offensive or confusing?! 0

Kid Made Modern

I saw this adorable how-to (below) in the recent newsletter from GOOP, and couldn’t resist sharing it with you. It comes from the book Kid Made Modern by Todd Oldham featuring projects inspired by mid-century artists and designers. The projects use inexpensive and recycled materials for it’s creative tutorials. I think we will definitely try this wooden spoon project in our house. Wooden spoons can be found at any flea market, salvation army, or goodwill store. 0

Glass Antlers

Last night while perusing the online guide of DirectTV, a show on Wheaton Arts caught my eye. One artist that jumped out at me was Charlotte Potter who was creating antlers out of glass. Some were clear and some were black and each were tediously made. I wish I had more photos to share with you but I don’t. Same Sex Wedding Inspiration

So I’ve been working on a collection of invites, or something to that extent. And it came to me that I should create custom-illustrated wedding invites for a same sex couple. And it just so happened that right around the same time, Martha Stewart Weddings featured a same-sex couple wedding in their 15-year anniversary issue. Love Is In The Air

With Valentine’s Day less than one month away I came up with a cute little idea for a paper airplane with a trail of hearts. It was made for my husband but that is in addition to a much better gift which I will be posting about the process later on this week.
