Holiday Dining
I am so envious of the style and images by EmersonMade. How easy is that look? a kraft paper runner on top of a white table linen.
The Nolitan
Some really nice work from Marque who developed a bright identity for The Nolitan, a luxury boutique hotel in Manhattan located “North of Little Italy” hence, the name Nolitan. I dig everything about it, especially that dark blue card with the red ink.
Decode
Super colorful and visually explosive identity design for Decode by Tappin Gofton.
Inspired by
I am completely and utterly inspired by the work of Keegan Meegan. It’s been a short five months since I last visited the site, but man-oh-man is it chock-full of goodness! From hand-lettered packaging for handmade tattoo guns, to Save the Dates featuring an anchor design, to an amazingly beautiful letterpress birth announcement. What a talent, seriously. Florist Cabinet
…or as I would have liked to call it, the most amazing piece of furniture EVER!!!! I spotted this Antique Victorian Cabinet, sign painted for use as a florist’s sundries cabinet. I am in LOVE! But of course, it’s sold – as it should be. The Ingermills cabinet is dated from the 1880′s and is marked as being on Floral Street in London! I would fill this cabinet from top to bottom with all of my stationery and supplies, it would be oh-so perfect. Now what piece of furniture can I adorn with my hand-lettering? Don’t tell my husband.
Gail Armstrong
Gail Armstrong creates complex engineered paper sculptures for a variety of projects. One that particularly grabbed my eye, was the Kleenex Feelings campaign. Each representation shows good and bad situations and how Kleenex will be there for either outcome. Amazing designs.
The Best Part
The intention of The Best Part‘s creator is to create well crafted, limited edition works of art with a modern aesthetic. I love them, love them all. Each print is a well thought out piece of art, read the descriptions of each poster if you don’t believe me.
Le Buro
Some brilliant new work by Inventaire was recently featured on Behance’s Typography Served for Le Buro. That logo is swoon-worthy.
PA Guild of Crafts
I was so excited and proud to receive an email about the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen website feature on ArtChain as Site of the Week! The design process was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had and to hear it’s being received so well by the public has been like the cherry on top of the sundae. Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen is a non-profit organization that encourages the practice of and nurture excellence in heritage and contemporary crafts. From fine art fairs and a full retail space to workshops and classes, the guild has a mission that the making of craft enriches all. The site is cleanly designed and easy to navigate. It’s got…
Graduation Invitations
Sarah Mick graduated from the University of Wisconsin, but just before doing so created some fun invites with a black, yellow, and white color scheme along with some truly fun copy. Now this is the kind of invitation that kids should send out to get some attendance!
