Berg & Berg
Great looking identity for Berg & Berg, a seller of fine accessories to accent your wardrobe was created by Heydays, an Oslo-based design studio specializing in printed media. This is another portfolio I highly suggest digging deeper into.
Holy Tacos
Beautiful design and clever business card design by Anagram for La Fabrica Del Taco. The color palette is striking, but is it just me or are they turning that taco into a religious icon?! Anagram’s portfolio is filled with eye grabbing work. Bravo! Via
Appartement
Great new identity design for Appartement, a small interior design shop out of Stockholm. Created by Bedow Creative and architect Sofia Nyman, the design includes the shop, bags, stickers, and all of the necessary elements for any business. Via
Happy Centro
I just completely molested the site of Happy Centro with my eyes. I clicked, I ogled, I posted. (the online version of I came, I saw, I conquered? Perhaps.) From illustration and typography to stop motion and web, I’m severely impressed with the styling of this Italian design team. Thanks to Present & Correct for posting about their work!
Beep! Beep!
While it’s not totally original, I love Tyler Fortney‘s poster design for AIGA Toledo using nonpareil sprinkles to create type. “To produce the poster, we screenprinted a combination of gloss varnish and bookbinding glue onto an 18″ x 24″ sheet. Immediately after removing it from underneath the screen, we poured the sprinkles onto the wet adhesive, instantly creating what we had envisioned.”
Russian Criminal Tattoo Archive
I’m obsessed with tattoos. Tattoos are a completely different art form in my eyes, and even though I only have some small ink on my back I relate to it in a big way. Fuel has just released the Russian Criminal Tattoo Archive, a collection of more than three thousand tattoo drawings made by Danzig Baldaev during his time as a prison guard between 1948 and 1986. There are three volumes in the Russian Criminal Tattoo Encyclopaedia, available to purchase on the Fuel website and there is an exhibition in London featuring photographs by Sergei Vasiliev from October 30 – November 28.
Erik Marinovich
I am loving all of the red & black work on the website of Friends of Type contributor, Erik Marinovich.
Yani Arabena
Wow, this puts my lettering to shame. I love the expressive style in these letters and just am in awe of Yani Arabena‘s work. via Jessica Hische
Oh Thank You
Such beautiful thank you cards over on Oh, Hello Friend. These were created and sent to guests of their wedding shower. Aren’t they just adorable? She letterpressed the hang tag, sewed them on to the backer card which was printed with the thank you message. The envelopes featured vintage postage and a custom mailing label.
Winnie’s Wool Wagon
A mobile wool shop? Yes indeedy. Winnie’s Wool Wagon is only in Dublin, but I just adore the identity created by Red and Grey Design.
