Owen Glidersleeve
A-mazing work by Owen Glidersleeve! I’m majorly impressed with the precise cuts that are handmade.
Peacock
A really fun story-like animation featuring the NBC Peacock logo. Isn’t he cute?!
Be Interested
Completely agree with Debbie Millman in this interview. Don’t just study and be interested in design, be interested in everything! I think the best designers are just really curious people.
Saucy
I’m turning thirty-one in a few short months, and I want to be a little saucy – red that is. I found this amazing dress on ModCloth called Miss Issippi, and these shoes on Zappos. I’m thinking this would be the perfect outfit for the one night where I get to celebrate being me.
Birdie Busch
[Audio clip: view full post to listen] I love the sarcastic tone of Philebrity, a news-based site focusing on the City of Brothery Love, Philadelphia. So I give you “City of Brotherly Love” by Birdie Busch which I found on their site. Lovely song.
Forage Bow Ties
Something’s Hiding in Here have been working on some really adorable bow ties for the Forage pop-up shop. How sweet they are! Read all about it on their blog!
2:12
Many days I’m at odds with religion. But this piece by the street artist 2:12 makes me love the imagery associated with religion.
In Progress: Party Invites
I’m working on some pretty fun invites for a birthday party and thought I would share my process throughout. So here are some of the thumbnails and sketches I’ve been working on. I’ll write more posts of work that’s in progress. I think it helps explain what a designer does from day to day, ideas don’t just flow from our heads to the computer and then to the printer (at least not ALL of us). Some have a tried and true process, and this is part of mine. Far from perfect, but all give me a good sense of layout. Some I like to add color, or completely line in ink. But others I like…
Design Swap
I’m liking the idea of a Design Swap. Design Swap is interested in spreading camaraderie through good design, an interesting concept. Thinking about participating, anyone want to join me?!
The Pacific
Love these stunning images by Jake Stangel from his series called The Pacific. This just confirms that I have a need to travel to every destination possible before I die. via
