Dulcet Paper
Just discovered Dulcet Paper on Etsy. I love the specimen-y feel of the cards below. Makes me want to go browse the digital collections of the New York Public Library again. 0
Mads Burcharth
I really love the identity work by recent graduate, Mads Burcharth, a danish designer with a nice portfolio. I especially love the typography skills. 0
Jesse Kaczmarek
I’m going to guess that a lot of people get Jesse’s name wrong, so thank goodness I only have to type it! Jesse Kaczmarek has some great work that’s been seen all around the web, but I could not resist posting this little gem posted under Misc. 0
Kai Brunning
I’ve been searching through my bookmarks for something I’ve forgot some time ago and came across the work of Kai Brunning. The work is notable and deserves some praise and I can not believe that I have not posted about his work before. Kai lives in Germany and founded his own design company clandrei, where he is responsible for the creative direction. 0
High Street Market
High Street Market is my favorite new Etsy store from Kelly Galvin Robson. She’s from Philadelphia. And she has a blog. Her taste is way cool. ’nuff said. P.S. Kelly, if you ever want to see some antique shops here in Reading … let me know. I’ll show you around! 0
Renee Fernandez
Totally loving the work of Renee Fernandez from The Decoder Ring. Great concepts, lovely work. Here’s what the folks over at The Decoder Ring have to say about her: “Renee stands as an inspiration to students everywhere. She began as an intern while attending the Texas State University design program, and never had to look for a job. Renee showed up early, stayed late, kicked ass on projects and made herself indispensable. After a few months we liked her so much that we asked her to stay. She’s a star on the rise, so keep your eyes peeled for her work in the coming months.” Now that’s the way to make a name for yourself…
Felt & Wire Shop
Last night was a good night. I went to my first Society of Design event featuring Design Army. One word … inspiring. Not just the speaker but the whole idea of SOD sounds great and I will be joining very soon. I can’t wait to be a part of what they are working on, it sounds very promising. Most organizations just talk the talk, but they are walking the walk in Central, PA. Last night Mohawk had a table set up and after speaking with the rep, I told her how much I love the Felt & Wire blog. Well, she told me about the Felt & Wire shop and I am filled with ideas…
House Industries Gifts
I am lucky to be a subscriber of the House Industries email because they just sent out their ideas for holiday gifts. I’d be happy to get any of their prints but here are some additional gift ideas from the boys down in Delaware. 0
Twist
The work of Twist Creative is clean, creative, and on some of the projects it’s obvious that there’s a touch of handmade in there somewhere. As you may have noticed, I really enjoy when even the slightest touch of handmade is incorporate into a project. Check out this Cleveland-based design company, it’s worth the visit. via designworklife 0
Perky Bros.
Loving the work of Perky Bros. which is the work of Jefferson Perky, a graphic designer (with an MBA mind you) working out of Nashville, Tennessee. The work has a nice handmade quality, and fits well “with the belief that a bit of sweat is good for the soul”. Amen. 0
