Philagrafika: Cannonball Press
I am really excited for this event. Philagrafika 2010 is an event happening in Philadelphia starting in January which will celebrate print in contemporary art. I’m a HUGE print fan and still believe that it won’t die. The festival contends that the printed image lies at the heart of contemporary art. The event will include 300 artists at over 80 venues throughout the city and is being coined as the world’s most important print-related exposition. I’m so glad I only live an hour north of Philly, I want to see it all! So in honor of the event, I’m going to feature the work of the artists involved in the festival in their own special…
Omnes Pro
It’s tough for me to purchase new fonts unless I already have a project in mind for that particular face, but Omnes Pro from Darden Studio looks like it’s the whole kit and caboodle! From hairline all the way up to black, it includes a total of nine amazing weights in this family. I love it’s curves! Originally conceived as the brand typeface for a national retail chain, Omnes meets the need for a rounded typeface which is neither overly mannered nor excessively literal in its approach.
