Olivia

I have been holding these over since the middle of the weekend but I am happy to say that these birth announcements are my finest! Including calligraphy by Fran Heider, hand-stitching, and all with a soft white and blossom pink palette. Olivia is the first addition to the Ferroir family – who are friends of mine and my husband – and we could not be happier for their little gem! 0

Percusive Art

Percusive Art is the work of Charles Clary featuring cut paper that is layer upon layer upon layer. As you look through the website, you can see the work progress and even make a shift at some point. 8

CXXVI

I’ve been a follower of Jon Contino for quite some time, and am happy to see that he and Matt Gorton are getting some great write-ups with CXXVI (aka One Twenty-Six). Over at Limited Hype there is an interview and contest featuring their shirts and a behind-the-scenes look at the hand-printing process, and the making of their 2009 Fall Lookbook. 0

Stitching in a Moleskine

I’m quite taken with stitching lately, particularly the kind done by hand. Over on the website What Katie Does, Katie created this phrase using hand-stitching for the Travelling Moleskine Project. I’m envious, it’s so beautiful. The script, the colors, the phrase, what a great combination. 0

Series of Babushka’s

Stressed, left. Comfy, right. I just fell in love with these Mini Babushka’s from the shop of ArtMind on Etsy. I think these could be a fun item to collect and if your friends and family know you want these, how great would it be as a holiday gift. One from everyone maybe? I want three for my home office, so cute. I could even display which one reflects my mood the most! Oh, and there are many, many, many, many more in her shop. Zombie, top. Dazzled, bottom. Mean, left. Sweet, right. 0

Christine Celic Strohl

I’m not sure how I found the work of Christine Celic Strohl, I’m pretty sure it was on ffffound! Most of the work on her site is from her time with Mucca Design which still continues today. The work is impressive and I love how she has her projects organized with touches that may not be included in the design but definitely add a certain feel to each one. The image above is from the work for Pacific & Central, which is what initially brought me to the site and kept me looking for more. 0

The Make Lounge

The Make Lounge is located in London and I really wish there were locations like this in my area. The mission of The Make Lounge is to offer contemporary craft workshops with a stylish, social twist. How cool does that sound? I bet each workshop is inspiring and fun, being able to work with like-minded artists or craftspersons in a relaxed environment can result in many things. New friends, collaborations, new business … who knows! 0

Stitch

Thanks to a post on Simple+Pretty I was turned on to the work of Stitch Design Co. based in Charleston. I love that their work has a touch of the handmade. Amy Pastre and Courtney Browson have just opened their brick & mortar location housing their full serviced design studio with a made-to-order design philosophy. I’m so loving their work and can’t wait to see more coming from this duo! 0

Stephanie Corfee

I officially own one of these prints, but I could not resist posting about Stephanie Corfee’s watercolors. I love the type-based versions, right now there are only two that I know of but I really hope she does more! This one above is on my wish list, but there aren’t any available right now on her Etsy store. But I would keep your eyes out and bookmarks set. And the freeform watercolor (top image) is outstandingly beautiful, as well as the image of the girl. The one of the girl caught my eye at Hello Bluebird as well but the type won me over in an instant. 0

Genuine Scooter

These scooters are so cute that it makes me wish I was in an area where riding one of these around was possible. Maybe if I open up a shop in downtown Reading I could justify it but not yet. The Buddy International St. Tropez version is pretty tempting but I also like the Buddy in white from the Genuine Scooter Co. in Chicago which they call America’s Smallest Scotter Company. How cute?! 0
