Woods & Weather
Beautiful identity work will always leave me wanting more. And after seeing the work for Seaward on FFFFOUND! by Woods & Weather – I had to see more! And I have to say that I must have been either a sailor or some sort of sea-lover in a past life because I adore anything that includes anchors, waves, or boats and Woods & Weather does that rather well. So if I ever am asked to judge a competition you can be sure that I will immediately pick something dealing with sea imagery, I just can’t resist it!
The identity work for Seaward Bakery is gorgeous with it’s two color execution and anchor pattern used throughout. I like the shape of the die-cut card too. It’s not overly sea or ocean-like but with the small elements of the anchor in the logo and used as a pattern is just enough.
And just to prove I’m not completely biased, I love their identity work for Fox & Evelyn (shown below). A beautiful yet complex geometrical mark and graphics in a limited color palette makes it oh-so appealing.
Woods & Weather is the work of Erik, a 22-year old Minnesotan who loves making things. Take a look at his stuff and read his bio – interesting guy.
