Fiodor Sumkin

Wow oh-wow! I love the illustration and typography of Fiodor Sumkin. Nothing looks completely finished and nothing looks unfinished. His amazing work combines hand-lettering with illustration and just blew me away. It reminds me of the days of sitting in math class doodling with black and blue pen or pencil while attempting to appear to be listening to what the teacher was saying. I wasn’t a fan of math, but I was a fan of doodling. Fiodor’s work is far from doodling and has created some beautiful work for himself as well as a long list of clients.

“Whatever I do, I just try to keep working as hard as I can and create the best possible pice of work. At the same time, I continue to explore other technique, e. g. rough and simple black and white drawings with old victorian typefaces.”

His portfolio is rather extensive, I insist you go look at it this minute … are you still here? Go now!
