Against the Brief
Marian Bantjes and Pentagram were asked to redesign the Strathmore thistle mark. But Marian went against the creative brief, didn’t adhere to Michael Bierut’s direction and created a beautiful new mark that brings old into the new. I think the new thistle on the ream wraps are especially beautiful.
