Works in Paper
Nickolya’s etsy shop features Works in Paper to transform a commonplace material and create something extraordinary. Using ordinary pieces of paper or even at times bills of money, a silhouette is cutout of a scene or city skyline for a fun and unique product (maybe even a gift). All of these “work in paper” are currently on sale in Nickolya’s etsy shop for $45, originally priced at $60.
The seller only known as Nickolya, is a Visual Communication at the Queensland College of Art in Australia with a background in architecture. He attempts to create an in-between state of 2-D and 3-D forms free from preconception and noise. He explores ideas connected with cities, urban life and the built environment working entirely by hand withpaper and cardboard, transforming them into objects of intricate detail and unexpected beauty.
